President El-Sisi, celebrating Mother’s Day, observed 21 March, delivered a speech acknowledging that the occasion came at a turbulent time this year, with the region and the world facing serious challenges threatening stability and security.
He noted that Egypt’s responsibilities have grown in the face of these hardships while emphasizing that hope for the future continues to guide through such difficult times.
Meanwhile, addressing Egyptian women, President El-Sisi affirmed that "Egypt will continue to uphold the status of women and provide every means of support for them,” highlighting their vital role in confronting national challenges.
During his speech, he also emphasized Egypt’s strong commitment to supporting and encouraging inspiring examples of Egyptian women in scientific, cultural, and social fields, enabling them to achieve tremendous success and impact.
Moreover, El-Sisi firmly rejected all forms of abuse and violence against women, noting, "I have instructed the government to combat all forms of violence against women and to provide a safe environment that protects their rights and ensures their safety."

He affirmed Egypt’s ongoing efforts to expand economic opportunities for women through employment, entrepreneurship, and government-backed initiatives.
Additionally, the president emphasized the state’s commitment to enhancing women’s political participation and ensuring their full access to leadership roles in the public and private sectors.
In this context, the president described Egyptian women as the nation’s lifeblood and essential partners in its progress, emphasizing their role as mothers and guardians of national identity and values, raising generations equipped to face challenges.
Among those participating in the event were Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Counsellor Amal Ammar, president of the National Council for Women (NCW), along with other state officials, female leaders, and Egyptian women from various fields.
The ceremony also featured an interactive dialogue between the president and participants on women’s issues, family, health, cultural identity, and the contributions of social work pioneers.
