El-Sisi and Mohamed bin Zayed discuss bilateral cooperation in Cairo

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Cairo on Saturday in a short visit, according to the Egyptian presidency.

President El-Sisi hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed the strength of their distinguished relations. They explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields to fulfil the aspirations of the Egyptian and Emirati peoples.

For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, emphasizing the deep historical ties between Egypt and the UAE and reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to further strengthening these relations.

 

According to Emirates' official News agency WAM, accompanying Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on his visit was a delegation that included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun, Advisor to the UAE President; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology;  Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Head of the Presidential Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and Mariam Al Kaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Egypt.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was bid farewell by President El-Sisi and several senior officials at Cairo International Airport.
