In response, the Naval Forces Command swiftly dispatched a naval unit from the Red Sea Base to counter the operation.

The statement noted that an exchange of gunfire took place between the naval forces and the smugglers.

The naval forces seized the vessel, apprehended the smugglers, and confiscated substantial amounts of hashish, hydro drugs, and various calibers of ammunition.

The seized contraband was then handed over to relevant authorities for legal proceedings.

The raid was conducted per the directives of the General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces to strengthen border security across all strategic fronts.

According to the statement, the action highlights the Egyptian Navy’s continuous dedication to enforcing strict control over the country’s maritime borders.
