The company signed three agreements with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, focusing on vaccination coverage, diabetes management, and awareness of rare diseases.

These agreements were the result of productive discussions between Sanofi and Egyptian health authorities.

Adrien Delamare Deboutteville, Head of Pharma Africa at Sanofi; Dr. Mohamed Hassany, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Public Health Initiatives; and Dr. Amr Kandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population for Preventive Medicine, Public Health, and Primary Care, signed the agreement.

Meanwhile, Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population; Éric Lombard, the French Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industry; and Catherine Vautrin, the French Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity, and Family Affairs, acted as witnesses.

In his remarks, Abdel-Ghaffar emphasized Egypt's commitment to improving healthcare services and increasing medical investment.

“We launched a new universal healthcare system that provides full medical coverage to all Egyptian workers,” he said.

“Public-private partnerships are key to achieving our objectives, such as disease awareness and health sovereignty. Sanofi is a trusted partner, well-positioned to support the Ministry of Health and Population in achieving our 2030 healthcare vision," Abdel-Ghaffar added.

Adrien Delamare Deboutteville highlighted Sanofi’s comprehensive approach to addressing Egypt’s healthcare priorities.

“These agreements represent our commitment to addressing Egypt’s healthcare challenges,” Deboutteville said.

“Beyond providing treatments, we are deeply engaged in strengthening Egypt’s healthcare ecosystem through initiatives that focus on diabetes, rare diseases, and vaccination coverage," he added. "We are pleased that both parties reaffirmed their dedication to working together to achieve significant health advancements."

Christelle Saghbini, Head of Sanofi International Pharma, participated in a high-profile panel titled Advancing Egypt’s 2030 Healthcare Vision: Strategic Partnerships with France, where she highlighted the importance of collaborative approaches in achieving healthcare transformation and improving patients' access to innovation.

“For over 60 years, Sanofi has evolved alongside Egypt’s healthcare landscape,” Saghbini said. “Today, we are not just providing treatments; we are working hand in hand with Egyptian authorities to address the most pressing health challenges through strategic partnerships, healthcare professional training, AI, and digital innovation."

"Our partnerships with Egyptian health authorities and local pharmaceutical companies, such as Gypto Pharma and Minapharm, further demonstrate our dedication to enhancing access to essential medicines and vaccines,” she concluded.
