Synopsis: Le Paradis des bêtes is a realistic tale, the story of a family adventure where love and forgiveness finally overcome suffering and violence. At the end of the day, there is the hope that those who have reached rock bottom can bounce back. Dominique is a domineering and possessive father who runs a pet store with his sister: Pet Paradise. When his already abusive relationship with his wife Cathy spins out of control, he flees with their children Clarisse and Ferdinand. Ensconced in a luxurious ski resort on the other side of the border, he creates a fantasy world to win back his kids, who nonetheless love him unconditionally.
