The campaign advocates for equal opportunities for Egypt’s people with disabilities, who amount to approximately 15 million people.
"We believe it's crucial to move beyond outdated perceptions and truly see the potential within every individual," Maram Mohamed, a member of the campaign team, told Ahram Online.
"Our campaign is about creating a level playing field, ensuring that the 15 million Egyptians with disabilities are not left behind. Our message is simple: It is time for all Egyptians to be on the same line,” she added.
The student-led initiative pushes for promoting an inclusive environment where individuals with physical or visual disabilities have equal access to education, jobs, and social life.
As their graduation project, the students from the Faculty of Mass Communication aim to spotlight the often-overlooked potential of people with disabilities.
The campaign celebrates their contributions to society while actively working to dismantle harmful stereotypes that hinder inclusion.
It also raises awareness about the broader societal need for accessible and supportive systems.
By advocating for digital accessibility, the initiative presses for increased participation of people with disabilities in today’s tech-driven workforce and higher education, supporting Egypt’s wider goals of digital transformation.
