Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received El-Sisi at Doha's Hamad International Airport.
This is El-Sisi's second visit to Qatar since assuming the presidency in 2014; his first occurred in September 2022.

Before heading to Kuwait, El-Sisi will also meet with Qatari business community representatives to explore opportunities for further economic collaboration.
In November 2024, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that Egypt and Qatar are planning a major real estate investment project in the country's North Coast.

Qatar stood as the third-largest Arab state investor in Egypt in 2023, with 160 Qatari companies injecting investments worth nearly $2 billion.
