In addition, it has designated Thursday, 1 May 2025, an official paid holiday in observance of Labour Day.
Sinai Liberation Day, which falls on 25 April, celebrates the withdrawal of the last Israeli soldier from the Sinai Peninsula on that day in 1982, as per the 1979 Egyptian-Israeli peace agreement.
Sham-El-Nessim is an ancient Egyptian feast celebrated alongside Easter. According to the Coptic calendar, it occurs annually on the day after Easter Sunday.
