The stance was reiterated during expanded talks between the two leaders at the Amiri Diwan (Bayan Palace), attended by senior officials from both countries.
The session was followed by a one-on-one meeting and a luncheon hosted in President El-Sisi’s honour, concluding his official visit to Kuwait—the second stop on his Gulf tour following Qatar.
The two leaders stressed the urgency of reaching a comprehensive and just political resolution to the Palestinian issue, based on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Addressing the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, they called for an immediate ceasefire of the Israeli war on the Palestinian Strip, the resumption of prisoner exchanges between Hamas and Israel, and the swift delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to the besieged strip.
El-Sisi and Sheikh Mishal also voiced support for the Arab-Islamic plan for Gaza’s recovery and reconstruction, emphasizing the need to begin implementation immediately once the ceasefire is restored.
The leaders’ discussions also touched on regional developments in Syria and Sudan, with both reaffirming their support for the unity and stability of the two countries, as well as for Yemen’s internationally recognized government.
They further underlined the importance of safeguarding maritime security in the Red Sea and adjacent waterways.
"The talks focused on the strong ties linking the two countries and ways to develop them in various fields. Issues of mutual interest, Arab cooperation and unity, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, were discussed by the two sides," said Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah in a statement.
"The dire situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts to bring about a ceasefire and enable the entry of humanitarian aid" were also addressed, the statement added.
Sheikh Mishal welcomed President El-Sisi’s visit as a reflection of the strong ties between the two countries and an opportunity to deepen cooperation, particularly in economic and investment sectors. He also praised Egypt’s historic role in supporting Gulf development and promoting regional stability.

President El-Sisi expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality, reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Kuwait across all fields in a way that serves the interests of both nations.

El-Sisi concluded his visit with a farewell ceremony at Amiri Airport, led by the Kuwaiti Amir.
