Israeli media identified him as Rom Braslavski from Jerusalem, who was abducted on October 7, 2023.

In the nearly seven-minute video, the captive, appearing to speak under duress, lifts his shirt to reveal scratch marks on his skin.

He gestures frequently with his hands as he pleads for his release. He also describes enduring severe conditions, citing a lack of food and water.

On October 7, Palestinian militants abducted 251 people to Gaza. Of those, 58 remain in captivity, including 34 whom the Israeli military says are deceased.
