The maritime drill was conducted over several days in Egyptian territorial waters and featured the participation of naval units from the Egyptian and Russian navies, the statement added.
The exercise included executing multiple joint naval formations and live-fire artillery drills using live ammunition.
It further incorporated air defence operations aimed at securing naval groupings, along with training on the right of visit and inspection procedures, as well as maritime search and rescue missions.

Moreover, the drill program featured several specialized lectures covering topics such as medical evacuation procedures, first aid, countering non-traditional threats, and cybersecurity.
Naval special forces from Egypt and Russia also executed a series of joint operations that demonstrated a high level of precision, combat readiness, and operational effectiveness, underscoring their capability to respond decisively to a range of tactical scenarios.
The Bridge of Friendship exercise forms part of a broader framework of joint drills conducted by the Egyptian Armed Forces with allied and friendly nations to enhance the exchange of expertise and strengthen efforts to uphold security and regional stability, the statement concluded.
