The signing ceremony was attended by Algeria’s Minister of Energy, Mining, and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, according to a foreign ministry statement.
FM Abdelatty, who is in Algeria on an official visit, met with Minister Arkab to discuss cooperation in energy, infrastructure, and construction.
The Egyptian FM emphasised to the Algerian minister the readiness of Egyptian companies to contribute to Algeria’s development efforts, citing their successful track record in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects across the region.
He also underscored the importance of translating the shared vision of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune into tangible partnerships, especially in strategic sectors such as energy, industry, and construction.
Abdelatty stressed that the second meeting of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Business Council would strengthen ties between the business communities of the two countries.
Meeting with Algerian counterpart

Also on Thursday, Abdelatty held talks with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, commercial, and investment sectors.
Abdelatty said Cairo is ready to host the ninth session of the Egyptian-Algerian High Joint Committee, which will be chaired by the prime ministers of both countries, later this year.
A joint business forum is also planned on the sidelines to promote economic partnerships.
The two ministers exchanged views on key regional developments, including the situations in Gaza and Libya.
Abdelatty outlined Egypt’s efforts to implement a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid to the strip.
Both ministers firmly rejected any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land, regardless of the pretext, according to the foreign ministry statement.
They also discussed ongoing Arab and Islamic efforts to mobilize international support for the early recovery and reconstruction plan in Gaza, with a clear emphasis on maintaining Palestinian presence on the ground.
