During the three-day event, ASG representatives will engage with young professionals, policymakers, academics, and Egyptian investors to forge partnerships and recruit future students for its academic programmes.

ASG’s participation in the summit — which convenes key actors in Africa’s digital governance landscape — highlights its focus on the role of effective public leadership in driving digital transformation across the continent.

The visit is part of ASG’s broader effort to connect with emerging talent and raise awareness among decision-makers of the vital role governance plays in achieving sustainable development.

Africa’s first indigenous school of governance

Launched in Lagos, Nigeria, ASG is the first institution founded by Africans to directly address the continent’s unique governance challenges. It offers a curriculum that is both context-sensitive and action-oriented, moving away from externally imposed models.

Alongside its degree programmes, ASG provides executive education for mid-career professionals seeking to strengthen their leadership and governance expertise.

The school is backed by a prestigious board of globally respected figures whose networks and experience support ASG’s academic rigour and continental reach.

Continental tour and open applications

Following its stop in Cairo, ASG will continue its outreach tour to key African cities including Nairobi, Abidjan, and Maputo, with more destinations to be announced. The initiative aims to identify and nurture talent across the continent’s diverse linguistic and regional contexts, while strengthening local ecosystems and building a robust network of future public leaders.

With Africa’s population projected to grow significantly in the coming decades, ASG emphasised the urgent need for well-trained, innovative public leaders.

Backed by $20 million in launch funding, the school is calling on ambitious young Africans to apply for its September 2025 intake.

Applications are now open for those eager to develop the skills required to govern with excellence, innovation, and integrity.
