ElWa3d, written by Wegz and released on 17 April, reflects the rap music style that Wegz initially started with years ago. It has garnered over 2.5 million views.
On the other hand, Girlfriend is a collaboration between Wegz and French artist Tayc. The two artists co-wrote the song in which Wegz performs his part in Arabic, while Tayc sings in English and French.
This R&B song was released on 23 April and garnered over 500k views on YouTube.
In February, Wegz released his track TNKR, which was #1 on Trending for music on YouTube.
Wegz, 26, is among the leading Egyptian rappers. In 2022, he topped the Spotify charts as the most listened-to musician in the Arab world, a position he had secured in the previous two years.
The Alexandrian-born artist gained popularity rapping in arrangements that mix Western hip-hop with Egyptian Mahraganat sounds. He has hit many times with releases and collaborations like El-Bakht, Bazeet, Dorak Gai, Salka, El-Ghasala, and Keify Keda.
