Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sis pose for an image with Egyptian high ranking officials and participants of the 25th edition of the Military World Equestrian Championship at the New Administrative Capital.
The event, held at the Kayan Equestrian Club, part of the Egyptian Military Academy, will run from 5 to 8 May.
The opening ceremony began with a commemorative photo featuring the President alongside the participating teams, followed by a series of celebratory segments, according to a presidential statement.
These included a holographic presentation on the history of equestrian sports, a documentary titled “Echoes of Hooves from the Heart of History”, a theatrical performance enhanced by a drone display, and a musical performance.
President El-Sisi also observed the parade of the competing national teams and listened to speeches delivered by the President of the Egyptian Military Academy and the President of the International Military Sports Council (CISM).
The Kayan City Equestrian Club was declared an international training centre during the ceremony.
The CISM President awarded President El-Sisi with honorary membership and presented him with the Order of Merit, the highest distinction granted by the council to heads of state.
