During the visit, Khalifa held talks with his Turkish counterpart, Metin Gürak, on the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the Egyptian-Turkish Military Committee.
Both sides discussed strengthening collaboration in areas such as training and exchanging expertise between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces.
They also signed the final session’s protocol and expressed a shared interest in expanding military cooperation and partnership in the future.
The Egyptian Chief of Staff also met with Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler, to whom he conveyed greetings of Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production General Abdel Mageed Saqr, stressing Egypt’s pride in its military relations with Turkey.

For his part, the Turkish Defence Minister praised Egypt’s active role on regional and international levels amid the current challenges, highlighting the importance of joint efforts to address these challenges and promote regional stability.
Additionally, Khalifa held talks with the head of Turkey’s Defence Industry Agency to explore opportunities for cooperation.
He then toured several defence industry companies and was briefed on their advanced production capabilities, highlighting the potential for exchanging expertise in military manufacturing to benefit both countries.

The visit also included touring the Turkish Special Forces Command, where the Egyptian Chief of Staff observed live demonstrations and training exercises conducted by Turkish special forces.
In a symbolic gesture, Khalifa visited the mausoleum of late president Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Turkey, and laid a wreath at his tomb.
Upon arrival, the Egyptian Chief of Staff and his accompanying delegation received official honours, including a formal reception, an honour guard inspection, and the playing of the national anthems of Egypt and Turkey by military bands.
