AC Milan's Algerian fullback Djamel Mesbah revealed on Tuesday that Fiorentina were eager to sign him during the last transfer window, but he opted to stay at the San Siro.
"Towards the end of the window, the Viola did express an interest," the 27-year-old told Sky Sports Italia.
"However, by then, I had already decided to stay with the Rossoneri," he added.
The international defender, who joined AC Milan last January, was also linked to Palermo after the latter showed interest on signing him.
Mesbah, who played 8 Serie A games with the Rossoneri last season, has played just one game this season.
