Temperatures are expected to rise by 5 to 7°C before the weekend, according to satellite imagery and a bulletin issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
Strong winds are expected on Tuesday in various parts of the country.
They may stir sand and dust across exposed areas in Cairo, the Delta, Canal Cities, Sinai, northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, lowering visibility and air quality.
Showers aside, temperatures remain above seasonal averages and are expected to climb steadily before Friday.
Daytime highs in Greater Cairo could increase from 31°C Wednesday to 36°C by Friday and 38°C Saturday.
In northern Upper Egypt, temperatures are expected to jump from 39°C to 41°C, while southernmost regions will continue to experience extreme heat exceeding 43°C.
