In a statement, the Prosecution highlighted that the figures, drawn from the Public Prosecution’s digital monitoring system, reflect the success of the national strategy to improve traffic discipline.

It added that this decline has contributed to a noticeable reduction in traffic accidents and related fatalities.

Earlier this month, Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) stated that road accident fatalities dropped from 5,861 in 2023 to 5,260 in 2024--a 10.3 percent decrease.
