The Future of UX/UI Is Now: Bit68's AI-Driven Workshop at RiseUp Summit

Thursday 15 May 2025

During this year’s RiseUp Summit, one of the region’s most anticipated gatherings of tech innovators, Bit68 made a significant impact with a forward-looking workshop titled "AI x UI/UX: Leading the Future of Product Innovation."

The session was led by Ibrahim Gharbawi, CEO of Bit68, alongside Ahmed Maher, Head of Design, and drew an engaged crowd of product designers, developers, and business leaders eager to explore how artificial intelligence is redefining digital experiences. The workshop lasted for two hours at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The session traced the evolution of UX design, from its early usability-focused roots (UX 1.0) to the current AI-assisted paradigm (UX 4.0). “We are now moving beyond design as a manual craft and into a phase where human creativity is amplified by AI,” said Gharbawi.

According to Bit68’s framework, future UX will be:

  • Prompt-based and AI-curated
  • Data-driven and adaptive in real-time
  • Focused more on strategy, empathy, and outcomes than execution

The presentation broke down the four key phases of modern UI/UX projects: Discover, Design, Validate, and Deliver—showing how AI tools are embedded in each. From tools like ChatGPT and Claude for user research, to Relume and Uizard for interface creation, AI is streamlining workflows and enabling rapid testing and iteration. Platforms like ListenLabs and Mixpanel AI were showcased for their ability to identify UX friction points and recommend improvements in real time.

Still, the discussion acknowledged limitations: “While AI speeds up workflows and democratizes design, outputs often require customization, and not all tools scale well,” noted Maher. The team also emphasized that AI will not replace designers, but designers who master AI will lead the future.

The workshop concluded with a lively Q&A exploring how AI will reshape roles, design systems, and handoff processes. Attendees discussed the future of prompt engineering, the importance of maintaining a ‘human touch,’ and how to upskill for an AI-enhanced career in design.

This forward-thinking session highlighted Bit68’s leadership in integrating AI into product development, underscoring its mission to stay at the forefront of innovation in the region.
