According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), strong winds carrying sand and dust will sweep much of the country on Tuesday, especially in areas like the Western Desert, South Sinai, southern regions, and the Red Sea Governorate.
From Tuesday to Sunday, daytime heat will grip Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, and northern Upper Egypt, while South Sinai and Egypt's deep south will sizzle under very hot conditions.
For those eyeing a coastal escape, know that the northern shores will not be dramatically cooler. Some spots will heat up just as much as Cairo, though the sea breeze may offer occasional relief.
However, nights will bring mild relief across most regions from Tuesday to Sunday.
In Greater Cairo and the Delta, expect a steady climb in temperatures through the week, starting at 31°C on Tuesday and rising to a peak of 35°C by Sunday.
Nights will bring a noticeable cooldown, with lows dipping to a more comfortable 18-22°C.
Northern coastal areas will enjoy some moderation, though not entirely spared. Depending on the day, highs will fluctuate between 24°C and 35°C.
Overnight lows will be gentler, ranging between 17°C and 21°C, making the coast a tempting escape from the inland heat.
In northern Upper Egypt, the mercury will surge from 33°C early in the week to a sweltering 39°C by Sunday. Nights will offer a decent cooldown after the daytime heat, with lows between 21°C and 23°C.
Meanwhile, Egypt's deep south will experience daytime temperatures between 40°C and 43°C, while the nights will offer little relief, sticking between 26°C and 28°C.
