The main phase of the drill, held at command centres, included a presentation of the mobilization strategy and a review of decisions made during simulated operations.

It aimed to test commanders' and units' responsiveness to evolving battlefield scenarios.

Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, senior military leaders, and branch commanders were also in attendance.

Khalifa observed earlier phases of the exercise, which included coordination drills and surprise tactical scenarios designed to assess field decision-making.

During the visit, Saqr met with participating officers to discuss their operational approaches and toured several border security positions by air.

He also conveyed greetings from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to forces stationed in the region.

Major General Hatem Mostafa Zahran, commander of the Western Military Region, said the unit remains focused on maintaining combat readiness and securing Egypt’s western border.
