The report added that the trucks—carrying flour, infant formula, and nutritional supplements—were originally scheduled to enter Gaza two days ago.
On Monday, the United Nations (UN) stated that only nine trucks were allowed into the besieged territory, describing the limited deliveries as “a drop in the ocean” compared to Gaza’s urgent needs.
The UN humanitarian chief warned on Tuesday that as many as 14,000 babies could die in Gaza within 48 hours if more aid does not enter the war-torn enclave.
On 2 March, Israel imposed a deadly blockade on the Gaza Strip, banning nutritional, medical, and humanitarian aid, therefore systemically starving 2.3 million Palestinians.
Additionally, on 18 March, Tel Aviv unilaterally ended a two-month truce—brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States—and resumed its war on Gaza.
Two months later, on 17 May, Israel escalated the genocide with a new military operation codenamed Gideon's Chariots, deploying the same strategies but with more advanced weapons.
The operation will unfold in three phases: forced displacement through intensive bombing, the purging of resistance fighters, and permanent occupation and the establishment of military settlements.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023, the occupation army has killed over 53,119 Palestinians, according to official health ministry figures.
However, the Gaza Government Media Office contests this number, estimating the death toll at over 61,700, including thousands still trapped under rubble and presumed dead.
