The Egyptian Tourism Authority and Orascom Pyramids Entertainment organized the tour.
Herjavec, 62, best known internationally for his role on the US version of Shark Tank, explored the Giza Plateau’s world-famous monuments and viewed the site’s recent enhancements, including upgraded walkways, visitor signage, and services to enrich tourists' experiences.
The tour concluded with a scenic lunch overlooking the pyramids, part of Egypt’s broader strategy to highlight its heritage sites and elevate the country’s tourism offering on the global stage.
He also visited the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world's largest museum, before its official inauguration on 3 July.
During his visit, Herjavec praised Egypt’s cultural legacy and admired the country’s historical richness.
On Friday, Herjavec appeared as a guest investor on Shark Tank Egypt—the local adaptation of the global reality series in which entrepreneurs pitch to a panel of investors, or “sharks,” seeking funding and mentorship.
Herjavec, a longtime investor in the US edition, said ahead of his visit: “The talent, the ideas, and the drive coming out of this market—it’s incredible.”
With a background in cybersecurity and as the founder of The Herjavec Group—acquired in 2021 in one of the sector’s largest private equity deals—Herjavec’s visit reflects a growing international interest in Egypt’s evolving business and tourism landscapes.
