In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Egypt expressed its full solidarity with the government and people of Niger.
“Egypt, both government and people, stands firmly with Niger in the face of this cowardly act of violence,” the statement read.
The statement added that the Egyptian government reiterates its unwavering stance against all forms of terrorism and extremism, stressing the need for international unity in confronting threats to peace and stability across the region.
