The launch event of ADNOC Voyager lubricants was held on Tuesday in Cairo.

“Egypt represents one of the most dynamic lubricant markets in Africa, and our local manufacturing in Borg El Arab ensures both accessibility and reliability for customers nationwide. The vision is to revolutionize the lubricants industry and fuel Egypt’s rise as a regional manufacturing powerhouse,” Thomas Strauss, managing director and country chair of TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt, said during the event.

The announcement marks a further step in ADNOC Distribution’s regional expansion strategy. The UAE’s leading lubricant brand is now available for the first time through third-party retail outlets across Egypt.

ADNOC Voyager products, previously limited to select outlets and online platforms such as Amazon and Noon, will now be distributed nationwide. By the end of 2026, the company plans to reach 3,000 points of sale.

This expansion is underpinned by local manufacturing at a TEME-operated blending facility in Borg El-Arab. The facility supports Egypt’s broader economic goals by strengthening domestic production, creating skilled employment opportunities, reducing import dependency, and enhancing export potential.

The initiative aligns with Egypt’s strategy to attract foreign investment and grow its industrial base.

“The national launch of ADNOC Voyager lubricants in Egypt marks a key milestone in our strategy to expand the reach of ADNOC’s trusted, high-performance lubricants across Egypt and North Africa," ADNOC Distribution CEO Bader Saeed Al Lamki emphasized.

He said the rollout builds on ADNOC Distribution and TotalEnergies’ shared commitment to sustainable growth and innovation and will deepen our collaboration, expand ADNOC’s regional footprint, and build future-ready capabilities that serve national priorities and regional markets.

"Egypt is not just a stop in our expansion plan, Egypt lies at the heart and core of our vision. Our presence here is accelerating, our investments are deepening, and our partnerships are built on trust and a shared desire for success," he added.

Moreover, Al Lamki noted that ADNOC will unveil its first flagship service station in New Cairo this year, which will serve as a model for what service stations should be.

ADNOC Distribution’s entry into Egypt follows its 2023 acquisition of a 50 percent stake in TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt.

The move grants the company access to North Africa’s largest customer base and enables it to tap into Egypt’s high-growth fuel retail and automotive sectors, both supported by ongoing presidential infrastructure projects and a burgeoning auto manufacturing industry.

The launch event also featured the unveiling of ADNOC’s new campaign, “Voyager: Powering Your Everyday Performance,” which highlights the lubricant range’s superior protection, efficiency, and durability in automotive, industrial, and marine applications.

Attendees included Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and Abdulbasit Mohammed Al Marzouqi, deputy head of mission and acting chargé d'affaires of the UAE embassy in Cairo, alongside senior executives from ADNOC and TotalEnergies.

With over 180 international OEM approvals and certifications from API and JASO, ADNOC Voyager products are trusted in more than 47 countries worldwide.

Egypt's annual lubricant market is nearing 450 kilotonnes, and it presents significant growth opportunities driven by rising vehicle sales, industrial expansion, and government-led development initiatives.
