The event, which will run from 6 to 30 August, will feature open-air sculpture sessions along the Mediterranean coast.
The public will be able to observe the creation of large-scale artworks in real-time. Artists will use various techniques, from carving granite blocks to crafting pieces from repurposed materials.
The forum will include live sculpting, workshops, an art exhibition, and a tourism programme for visiting artists. Completed works will be donated to the city and displayed in public spaces to help shape the rapidly growing municipality's visual identity.
The sculpture forum coincides with the second edition of Art Space, a larger cultural programme running from 19 July to 30 September. That event will feature exhibitions, installations, and interactive workshops to bring contemporary art to a broader public audience.
While Egypt’s most established sculpture event remains the Aswan International Sculpture Symposium, launched in 1996 by artist Adam Henein, the New Alamein Forum is a significant new platform for local and international sculptors.
The city, located on Egypt’s northwestern coast, was recently named the 2025 Arab Summer Capital by the Arab Tourism Organization.
With its modern infrastructure, luxury resorts, and growing calendar of cultural events, New Alamein is positioning itself as a hub for tourism and regional art.
