Minor earthquake hits Egypt's Hurghada; no casualties reported

A minor earthquake measuring 3.33 magnitude on the Richter scale hit northwest Hurghada, Egypt's National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) said in a statement.

 

According to NRIAG, the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.33 on the Richter scale on Sunday,1 June 2025, at 3:08 PM at a location 44 kilometers northwest of Hurghada.

No damages or injuries have been reported so far.
