“Treasures of Czechia”, an exhibition on Czechia’s UNESCO heritage. Czech artist Markéta Zlesáková displays her unique work inspired by Czech folk ornamentation and Arabic calligraphy and ornament. The artworks will remain on display along the Czech Embassy wall (2 April- end of July).

“Dear Ramadan” exhibition Czech painter Markéta Zlesáková is organised by the Czech Centres and the Czech Embassy in Cairo. The exhibition offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the artist’s latest works created during a three-month residency in Cairo. Zlesáková’s new series marks a significant shift in her artistic journey, bridging the disciplines of large-scale painting, printmaking, and textiles. Working directly on Egyptian decorative fabrics traditionally used during the holy month of Ramadan, the artist creates a dynamic dialogue between classical Islamic ornamentation and contemporary visual storytelling 

(closing 9 June).

“What Remains?” exhibition brings together three artists—Fatma Abu Doma, Farah Elmoatassem, and Egyptian, Armenian, and Greek visual artist Melanie Partamian—whose works emerge from personal geographies and fragmented archives. Moving between memory, identity, and space, the exhibition unfolds across three interconnected spaces: the constant, the transitional, and the reimagined (25 May - 26 June).

The Egyptian-Russian Friendship Association celebrates the National Day of the Russian Federation and the International Tea Day, through a caricature exhibition organized by artist Fawzy Morsi, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Caricature Association and the originator of the tea celebration idea. The exhibition will feature 65 works by cartoonists from 25 Arab and foreign countries, including artists from Russia (2 - 30 June).

Margo Veillon Gallery of Modern Egyptian Art

“Witness, Scenes from the War in Sudan” by Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a compelling multimedia exhibition shedding light on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan. Curated by Donna Maria Feghali in collaboration with a team of Egyptian creatives, the exhibition offers a storytelling-based experience that brings this underreported crisis to the forefront.

Through evocative photography and testimonies from individuals affected in Sudan, as well as informative artwork and an animated short film, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the complex realities on the ground. The exhibition invites viewers to witness the resilience of those impacted and the efforts to deliver medical care in the face of conflict and displacement (16 June, 10am-9pm). 

Falaki Gallery

“A Piece of Memory 2,” a powerful exhibition by distinguished artist and SHE CAN Programme alumna Sara Medhat, renowned for her work in sustainable art design. Following the success of her participation in the COP27 Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Medhat returns with a new collection that reflects nostalgia, memory and environmental consciousness (22 - 30 June).
