Starting Thursday, the eve of the four-day feast, a gradual rise in temperatures is anticipated nationwide.
According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), daytime highs are expected to rise 2–4°C through the weekend.
While the early days of Eid will be warm and pleasant, rising temperatures by the weekend may bring noticeable daytime heat.
In Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, temperatures are expected to range between 31°C on Tuesday, peaking at 36°C by Sunday.
Evenings, however, will remain comfortable, with mild lows between 20°C and 23°C, making them ideal for family visits and outdoor gatherings.
Along the northern coasts, highs will remain between 25°C and 29°C, with lows settling between 18°C and 20°C.
With pleasant, breezy conditions, the region offers a comfortable escape for Eid vacationers looking to avoid the inland heat.
In northern Upper Egypt, daytime temperatures will start around 32°C on Tuesday, but as Eid al-Adha approaches, they are expected to gradually rise, reaching up to 37°C by Sunday.
Nighttime lows throughout the period will remain between 20°C and 23°C.
Southern Upper Egypt will experience scorching conditions, with highs soaring between 36°C and 42°C, and overnight lows from 23°C to 26°C.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice and one of the two most significant Islamic holidays alongside Eid al-Fitr, will take place from Friday, 6 June, to Monday, 9 June.
