ENRRA’s statement comes hours after Israel launched airstrikes on Tehran, targeting Iran’s nuclear programme, including Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility in Isfahan.

The authority said it monitors all developments related to the radiological situation through the nationwide radiation monitoring, early warning, and notification network.

It affirmed that background radiation levels are continuously monitored and that it maintains coordination with all relevant parties around the clock to ensure the safety of citizens and the environment.

ENRRA further highlighted ongoing coordination with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other relevant national bodies amid the rising regional tensions.

It emphasised that the radiological situation in Egypt is entirely safe and poses no cause for concern, urging citizens not to be misled by rumours or unverified information.
