Blending modern creativity with Egypt’s rich heritage, the hotel immerses guests in curated art installations just minutes from the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

It showcases works by 11 Egyptian artists, curated by ADD Real Estate Development, and includes 304 rooms and suites.

The inauguration also marked the exclusive launch of Hyatt Centric Cairo West Residence—the first project in Egypt where a hotel opened before releasing its residential units, according to a Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities statement.

This launch follows a strategic partnership between ADD Real Estate Development and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, formalized by a MOU signed Tuesday that day in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister Fathy.

The agreement aims to boost hotel capacity and meet rising tourism demand through branded projects at key locations across Egypt.

Hyatt Centric Cairo West marks Hyatt’s continued re-entry into the Egyptian market after a 10-year absence, which ended in 2022 with the opening of the award-winning, 250-room Hyatt Regency Cairo West.

“This project represents a successful model of cooperation between local and international sectors,” said Fathy.

He stressed the urgent need to double Egypt’s hotel room capacity within five years to keep pace with growing tourist numbers.

From January to May 2025, inbound tourism rose by 26 percent, up from 4–6 percent in the same period last year, and tourist spending increased noticeably.

Fathy welcomed investments that enhance infrastructure and generate jobs. He emphasized the importance of training tourism workers, particularly in soft skills. He noted that the Ministry will soon launch an online training platform in partnership with the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF).

He reaffirmed Egypt’s goal of attracting 30 million tourists annually and highlighted the need to expand hotel, airport, and airline infrastructure to support this target.

Egypt plans to double its foreign visitor numbers to 30 million by 2028 and foster greater private investment in tourism.

Egypt’s current capacity is approximately 230,000 rooms. Thus, the government is targeting the development of over 200,000 additional rooms within the next two to three years to double capacity and improve the tourist experience.
