During the conversation, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s position, calling for an immediate de-escalation, a ceasefire, and a return to diplomatic negotiations to reach a resolution regarding Iran’s nuclear programme. Abdelatty underscored the importance of sustained European engagement and stressed the need for coordinated international action to contain the crisis and avert a broader conflict.
At the end of the call, the ministers agreed to maintain close coordination and continue consultations, reaffirming their commitment to pursuing all available diplomatic channels to ease tensions.
