The electoral timeline was unveiled by Judge Hazem Badawy, head of the NEA, during a press conference on Tuesday.

Candidate registration will run from 5 to 10 July, with the final list of nominees and their electoral symbols published in the state-owned newspapers Akhbar Al-Youm and Al-Gomhouria on 11 July.

Appeals against candidates will be heard between 14 and 16 July, and the final roster will be confirmed on 18 July, marking the start of the official campaign period.

Candidates may withdraw until 20 July, followed by an electoral silence period beginning 31 July.

The final results will be announced on 12 August.

The Senate was reinstated following a 2019 constitutional referendum.

Under the 2022 amendments to its electoral law, the chamber now consists of 300 members—two-thirds elected by direct public vote and the remaining third appointed by the president.

At least 10 percent of seats are reserved for women.

Egypt is divided into 27 constituencies for individual candidates, along with four constituencies for the closed-list system: two with 13 seats each and two with 37 seats each.
