This came in separate statements by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

In a phone call, Abdelatty and Witkoff discussed the latest developments regarding the ceasefire in Gaza, in light of ongoing mediation by Egypt and Qatar.
FM Abdelatty stressed the urgent need to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians, with both sides agreeing to intensify joint efforts and maintain close coordination in this regard.
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said Israel had agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, urging Hamas to accept the US-backed deal to end the war and secure a captive agreement.
Although Hamas signalled openness to a ceasefire, it stopped short of accepting the proposal and insisted that any agreement must bring a full end to the war in Gaza.
Additionally, Abdelatty reviewed Egypt’s efforts to solidify the Israel-Iran ceasefire, according to the statement.
He also stressed the importance of resuming negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme and upholding the ceasefire, affirming that this would help reduce escalation and open the door for diplomatic solutions.
Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s full support for all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the Middle East.

During his call with bin Farhan, Abdelatty highlighted the ongoing efforts to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid amid worsening humanitarian conditions.
He emphasized the urgency of stopping the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
Both sides also discussed next steps for implementing the Arab-Islamic plan for the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, as Egypt prepares to host the conference once a ceasefire is reached.
UN secretary-general
During his call with Guterres, Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast position, calling for the release of captives and detainees and the facilitation of humanitarian aid access.
Abdelatty also briefed Guterres on Cairo’s efforts to prepare for the Conference of the Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza.
He further highlighted Egypt’s ongoing efforts to stabilize the Iran-Israel ceasefire.
Furthermore, FM Abdelatty expressed Egypt's full support for Sudan's unity and territorial integrity, emphasizing the need for an immediate and sustainable ceasefire.
Abdelatty also reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for the African Union’s mission in Somalia, calling for international support to ensure the mission’s success.
