The Pharaohs, who have not played since March, secured victories over Ethiopia and Sierra Leone in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
They have already qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, topping Group C with 14 points.
Egypt also lead Group A in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 16 points from six matches.
Under head coach Hossam Hassan, Egypt remain the third-highest-ranked African team, behind Morocco and Senegal, with the latter climbing one spot this month. Within the Arab world, Egypt sit second, also behind Morocco.
The North African side previously broke into the global top 10 after winning three consecutive AFCON titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
Their next official match is scheduled for September against Ethiopia in the ongoing World Cup qualifiers.
At the top of the global rankings, Argentina retained first place, with Spain climbing to second and France holding steady in third. The Netherlands rose to seventh, swapping places with Portugal.
Italy dropped two places to 11th, falling out of the top 10.
