Deputy ruler of Sharjah visits Egyptian State Council

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, deputy ruler of Sharjah and president of the judiciary, paid an official visit on Monday to the Egyptian State Council, where Council President Counsellor Osama Shalaby welcomed him.

The high-level Emirati delegation, which included members of the Sharjah Judicial Council, was welcomed at the historic Princess Fawqia Palace in Dokki in the presence of members of the State Council, the secretary-general, and a number of judges.

Talks between the two sides focused on exchanging judicial and legal expertise, reviewing the State Council’s experience in digital transformation and modernizing judicial mechanisms, and exploring avenues for strengthening cooperation in the field of administrative judiciary.

During their meeting, Counsellor Shalaby praised the deep-rooted ties between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates and highlighted the State Council’s role in ensuring swift and effective justice in line with Egypt’s ongoing development drive.

For his part, Sheikh Al Qasimi expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s judiciary, describing it as firmly established and widely respected on both the Arab and international levels.

He noted that the State Council is home to exceptional judicial talent and reaffirmed Sharjah’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Egypt in legal and judicial affairs.

After the meeting, Counsellor Shalaby accompanied Sheikh Al Qasimi and his delegation on a tour of the Princess Fawqia Palace, describing the visit as historic and reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to strengthening judicial cooperation with the UAE.
