The launch ceremony was attended by Minister of Local Development Manal Awad, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, the EU Ambassador to Egypt Angelina Eichhorst, and representatives of civil society organisations.
During the event, Morsi affirmed that the fund marks a new chapter in developing mechanisms of civil work in Egypt, extending her appreciation to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi for his historic support of civil society in the country.

For her part, Awad called the fund an important step toward empowering civil society and supporting innovative youth initiatives.
She underscored the vital role of civil society in construction and development alongside the government and the private sector.

During the event, Talaat affirmed that cooperation between the communications and social solidarity ministries aims to serve citizens and empower civil society.
He further emphasized that human creativity and technological progress remain the two main pillars for achieving comprehensive sustainable development.

Additionally, the EU ambassador described the launch as a significant milestone in Egypt's journey towards fostering a dynamic, independent, and impactful civil society.
“The launch of the CSF signifies the renewal of a vital partnership between the Egyptian state, civil society organisations, and international partners,” Eichhort said.

The fund’s first annual conference also kicked off, featuring panel discussions on social innovation for sustainable solutions and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can drive social impact, according to a cabinet statement.
