Held under the auspices of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the exhibition will take place from 4 to 11 October, with free entry daily from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Turathna, the largest handicrafts and heritage exhibition in the Middle East, is organised by Egypt's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA).
Tunisia has been chosen as the guest of honour for this year's exhibition, which also features remarkable participation from the UAE, Jordan, Algeria, and Pakistan.
More than 1,000 outstanding heritage product projects will also take part in Turathna's seventh edition, celebrating authentic Egyptian crafts and rich heritage.
According to the Egyptian cabinet, representatives from ministries, universities, agencies concerned with heritage projects and handicrafts, civil society organisations, and international institutions will participate in the exhibition's seventh edition.
The exhibition coordinates efforts in providing the necessary financial and technical services for artisans, empowering them, and opening new marketing channels in local markets while facilitating access to international markets.
It reflects the state's commitment to the handicrafts sector, which provides millions of job opportunities for young men and women, especially in Upper Egypt and border governorates.
Turathna also promotes the technical services offered by the state to project owners, encouraging young people to engage in self-employment and establish small businesses.
Additionally, the event highlights the political leadership's appreciation of these ancient arts, their practitioners, and their role in showcasing Egyptian culture and arts.
To ensure a comfortable and inclusive visitor experience, the exhibition offers wheelchairs for seniors, a catalogue of all participating exhibitors, and internal shuttle buses to transfer visitors from the main gate to the exhibition entrance.
In addition, the exhibition organisers have provided visitors with fully equipped pathways for people with disabilities, a food court of several restaurants outside the venue, and an internal map to enable visitors to navigate and reach exhibitors.
The sixth edition of the Turathna exhibition, held in December 2024, showcased over 1,000 projects from around the world, representing 32 handicraft sectors.
