The Egyptian side carry a 2-0 lead from last week’s away leg, after their continental campaign was delayed due to Intercontinental Cup commitments.
Pyramids will again be without injured trio Walid El Karti, Mahmoud Marei and Ramadan Sobhi, while forward Mahmoud Zalaka remains a doubt after picking up a muscle injury in the first leg.
Pyramids FC coach Krunoslav Jurcic will be absent from the touchline after being sent off during the first leg.
Meanwhile, APR coach Abdel-Rahim Taleb believes his team dominated the match despite a 2–0 defeat at home.
“We lost to Pyramids, but we dominated the game. Their goalkeeper made four crucial saves, and we were denied a goal by the crossbar,” Taleb said.
“We’ll go into the second leg without fear—our players gained valuable experience in the first match,” he added.
The Cairo-based club are aiming to continue their strong form after winning their maiden CAF Champions League title last season, defeating South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
They also lifted the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup, where Fiston Mayele scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli.
