Candidacy applications will be accepted from 8–15 October, with initial candidate lists published 16–18 October.

Appeals will be heard by the Administrative Court from 19–21 October, and the final candidate list will be published on 23 October.

The process has been split into two phases.

In the first phase, campaigning will run from 23 October to 6 November, followed by a pre-election silence.

Egyptians abroad will vote on 7–8 November, with polling inside Egypt on 10–11 November. Results will be announced on 18 November.

This phase also covers 14 governorates, including Giza, Alexandria, Beheira, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Fayoum, Beni Suef, New Valley, Matrouh, and the Red Sea.

In the second phase, campaigning will begin on 6 November and end on 20 November.

Voting abroad is scheduled for 21–22 November, with Egyptians at home voting on 24–25 November. Results will be released on 2 December.

Run-off campaigning will take place from 2–14 December, followed by voting abroad on 15–16 December and inside Egypt on 17–18 December.

Final results will be announced on 25 December.

This phase includes 13 governorates: Cairo, Qalyoubia, Dakahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai.

The current 596-member House was elected in 2020 for a five-year term ending in January 2026.

Under the constitution, new elections must be held within 60 days before the chamber’s term expires.

Of the 596 seats, 568 are elected, split evenly between individual candidates and closed lists, while the president appoints 28 members.

A quarter of the seats are reserved for women.

The announcement comes weeks after elections for Egypt’s 300-member Senate, the upper chamber of Parliament.
