Qomssan replaces Mohamed Mekki, who parted ways with the club last week following a string of poor results.

The newly-promoted side currently sit second from bottom with just five points from ten games, one point behind Ismaily, who occupy the penultimate spot.

A former Ahly player in the 1990s, Qomssan has spent the last five years as an assistant coach at Ahly under former South African coach Pitso Mosimane and his Swiss successor, Marcel Koller.

At 50, this will be Qomssan's first managerial role in the Premier League.

Arab Contractors will next face Enppi in a Premier League match on Friday, 17 October.
