Sun 12, 1pm – 2pm: “The Marketization of Economic Informality: Rooftops, Housing and Private Property in a Cairo Neighborhood” in this lecture Associate Professor of Political Science Amr Adly will explore market making under conditions of widespread economic informality, focusing on a segment of Cairo’s housing market.
Sun 12, 5pm– 6:15pm: “Alchemy of the Soul: Jungian Depth Psychology, Spirituality and the Transformation of Psyche” lecture will be given by Dr. Salik Khalifa, a Jungian-oriented psychotherapist, scholar with nearly two decades of clinical experience integrating depth psychology, and cross-cultural traditions with individuals, groups and organizations. This lecture examines the convergence of Jungian depth psychology, spirituality and alchemical symbolism as frameworks for transformation such as healing, integration and individuation. The session discusses therapeutic implications of these traditions for contemporary psychology and mental health practice.

Registration for the General Italian Language Courses (November 2025 - January 2026 session) is open from 15 to 29 October 2025. Intensive Advanced Italian Language Courses (Levels C1 – C2) to meet the needs of advanced-level students, the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo announced that the C1 and C2 Italian language courses will now be offered in full, and no longer divided into three parts/sessions for each, as was previously the case. Enrollment is now open for the intensive online Italian language courses for levels C1 and C2.
Registration period: from 1 to 14 October 2025.
Course duration: 70 hours over the span of three months
