Pergola

Agouza Children’s Park, Cairo
A brand new, permanent theatre and public plaza located in the heart of a Children’s Park. The pergola creates a dynamic new space for gatherings, celebrations, performances, and cultural exchange – open to everyone.

Al-Masyada - theatre play
Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 October, 8 pm
El Rihany Theatre, 17 Emad Eldeen St., Al-Azbakeya, Cairo
El Masyada is an Egyptian adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery. Set in a remote guesthouse during a storm, a group of strangers find themselves trapped, and one of them is a killer.
As secrets surface and tensions rise, no one is safe. Suspense, suspicion, and drama unfold in this thrilling Egyptian take on a timeless story.

Um Kulthoum - musical show
Thursday 9, Friday 10 October (also 16 and 17 October), 8pm

Produced by El-Adl Studios (Medhat El-Adl), the musical show commemorates the 50th anniversary of Um Kulthoum’s passing.
The show brings her story to life, from the star’s humble beginnings and artistic struggles to her rise to global fame.

The Ayoub Sisters – music
Friday 10 October, 8 pm
Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Great Hall, Alexandria
The Ayoub Sisters, Sarah (cello) and Laura Ayoub (violin), are a Scottish-Egyptian musical duo renowned for their dynamic fusion of classical, pop, and world music.
Raised in Glasgow by Egyptian parents, they blend their diverse heritage into their performances.
Their debut album, recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, topped the UK Classical Artist Albums Chart. Their second album, Arabesque, a tribute to Arab music, reached No. 1 on iTunes and entered the UK Classical Albums Chart.
The duo performed at prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and the Cairo Opera House, and collaborated with esteemed international artists.
Their concert at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will be accompanied by the BA Orchestra and the BA Choir, conducted by Nayer Nagui.
Voice band – music
Saturday 11 October, 8 pm
El-Sawy Culturewheel, 26th of July St., Zamalek, Cairo
The Voice Band is a choir consisting of young Egyptian singers.
The band relies primarily on the voices of its members, with some compositions performed entirely a cappella, while others have a minimal music accompaniment. The troupe’s repertoire relies mainly on classical Arabic music.

ARTicaria – music
Tuesday 14 October, 9 pm
Room Art Space, 10 Etehad El Mohamein St., Cairo
ARTicaria group consists of four artists from different backgrounds. They share a common goal – to entertain people through music and laughter. ARTicaria is a unique entertainment show that incorporates music to boost positive energy.
ARTicaria’s line-up includes Ezz Shahwa, bassist, guitarist, and music composer; actress Gilan Alaa; and Bakri Khaled, a Cairo-based Syrian actor, voiceover actor, and scriptwriter.
