The 27-year-old finished second in the snatch with a lift of 112kg, behind American Olivia Reeves, who set a new world record by lifting 123kg.
Samir also took silver in the clean and jerk with a lift of 140kg, for a total of 261kg — again behind Reeves, who swept gold.
Colombia’s Mari Sánchez claimed bronze with lifts of 112kg in the snatch, 136kg in the clean and jerk, and a total of 248kg.
Samir, a two-time world champion in Bogotá (2022) and Riyadh (2023), added to her medal tally after winning two silvers at the 2024 Championships in Manama, Bahrain.
She also captured silver at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, adding to the bronze she won at Rio 2016.
Earlier in the week, Egypt’s Mohamed Younes won silver in the snatch in the men’s 79kg category.
