“I spoke to Bibi Netanyahu just a little while ago -- he said ‘I can’t believe it, everyone’s liking me now,'” Trump said in an interview on Fox News on Wednesday.

“I said ‘Israel cannot fight the world Bibi, they can’t fight the world.'”

"He understand that very well," he added.

On Thursday evening, after intense negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh, Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza Gaza plan, one that would see Israeli troops begin a pullback as the Palestinian factions release the captives.

Trump said also during the 20 minutes phone interview Iran had “blessed the deal” and suggested that he believes "Iran is going to be involved in the peace situation."

Earlier in the evening, in a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the agreement provides for the release of all captives “soon” and for Israeli forces to withdraw to “an agreed line,” calling it the first step toward a “strong, durable, and everlasting peace.”

He added that all parties “will be treated fairly,” describing the day as “a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, for Israel, for the United States, and for all neighboring nations.”

Trump also thanked the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their role in reaching what he called “a historic and unprecedented event,” ending his message with the phrase “Blessed are the peacemakers.”
