President El-Sisi made the announcement during a joint meeting with several leaders and heads of state on the sidelines of the summit, which gathered representatives from 31 countries as well as international and regional organizations to mark the signing of an agreement to end the Israeli war on Gaza.
According to the Egyptian presidency, the meeting was attended by Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Also present were Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
During the discussions, President El-Sisi urged European nations to encourage all parties to fully implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement. He noted that Egypt and Jordan are currently training Palestinian police officers and called for European support to continue and expand the programme.
Participants stressed the need to expedite humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza, clear the debris, and establish a coordination mechanism among the summit’s participants to agree on concrete steps for reconstruction and recovery.
The presidency said the meeting aimed to enhance coordination among the attending countries regarding the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and supporting efforts to reconstruct and provide humanitarian relief in the strip.
