Cape Verde top Group D with 23 points, four clear of second-placed Cameroon, who were held to a goalless draw by Angola, also on Monday.
The island nation becomes the sixth African team to book a place at the 2026 World Cup, joining Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt and Ghana.
The tournament will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
