The pyramids were illuminated with phrases such as “Egypt and US, Strategic partnership for a comprehensive peace and better future”, “Welcome to Egypt, a land of peace and a river of life”, “A truly historical moment, “A truly historic moment, his excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomes his excellency President Donald Trump”.
In a statement, the US embassy in Cairo hailed the illumination as a historic and generous gesture that highlights the US-Egypt partnership, cooperation, and a shared vision for peace and stability in the Middle East.
