The nomination process began last week, in accordance with the NEA's electoral timeline.
On Thursday, the NEA will publish the preliminary list of candidates and their electoral symbols for both individual and party-list races.
The release of the preliminary lists marks the start of a three-day window for submitting electoral appeals, running from 16 to 18 October.
Appeals will be reviewed by the Administrative Court, with rulings expected between 19 and 21 October.
The final list of candidates is scheduled to be announced on 23 October.
Candidates wishing to withdraw from the race must do so by 25 October, with any withdrawals to be published in the Official Gazette the following day.
The electoral process will unfold in two phases.
In the first phase, campaigning will run from 23 October to 6 November, followed by a period of election silence.
Egyptians abroad will cast their votes on 7 and 8 November, while voters inside Egypt will head to the polls on 10 and 11 November.
Results from this phase are expected to be announced on 18 November.
This phase includes 14 governorates: Giza, Alexandria, Beheira, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Fayoum, Beni Suef, New Valley, Matrouh, and the Red Sea.
The second phase will begin with campaigning from 6 to 20 November.
Egyptians abroad will vote on 21 and 22 November, followed by domestic voting on 24 and 25 November. Results will be announced on 2 December.
If run-off elections are necessary, campaigning will continue from 2 to 14 December, with Egyptians abroad voting on 15 and 16 December and domestic voting scheduled for 17 and 18 December.
Final results will be announced on 25 December.
This phase includes 13 governorates: Cairo, Qalyoubia, Dakahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai.
The current 596-member House of Representatives was elected in 2020 for a five-year term, which concludes in January 2026.
Of the 568 seats up for grabs, 284 will be filled by candidates elected via the individual candidacy system, and 284 by candidates elected via closed party lists.
The president will appoint 28 members.
